Bridgestone Dueler?

Has anyone run the Bridgestone Dueler AT 693/693 II or the Dueler AT Revo's w/UNI-T? Still searching for that perfect compromise between price, snow/off road ability, on road manners, and tread wear.

Tire prices really seem to be WAYYYY up from the last time I had to buy any personally. That is what happens when you buy a new truck every 2 years I guess. The tire lines I have always run are anywhere's from $50-$75 per tire MORE than they used to be( one crazy tire dealer actually thought I would pay $205 each for BF Goodrich AT's )!

Anyway, I have been looking hard and have heard good things about the new line of Duelers( both AT 693/693 II's and the Revo ). Not too cheap but I can get them for approx $100 to $125 each depending on which model I chose and if I can find any online sales when I am ready. I was leaning towards Coopers but have since backed off that after visitng some local Cooper dealers and reading some product reviews online from unhappy customers.

Have been reading that folks are very happy on the whole with the Dueler AT line and that they last and have good snow traction. Again, just curious if any of my HEMI brethern have opinions on them one way or the other? I have run Duelers in the past and liked them but the whole line is different these days. The Dueler tire model I bought back in 99 is long since gone.

You know, I can't remember ever being so confused and unsure about what tire to buy? So many brands and models now that my head is spinning.

The ONLY decision I have made is to run the 265/70/17's. Other than that I am hopelessly lost I guess.

Bridgestone Dueler?

One of my fellow Officers runs the Revos on his Rodeo and swears by them. He's kind of a tire geek persay and researches a ton before he buys, then seems to professionally research for every prospective tire buyer within our department. From what he tells me, they are a safe bet!

Bridgestone Dueler?

Thanks. That helps a LOT. Especially since VT has the same type of weather and roads as NH does. I know he is using them in the same conditons I will be.

I am really leaning towards these tires more and more as I look into it. As much as I would like to run BFG AT's I just can't see paying $175+ for a tire. Hopefully I can find a local Bridgestone dealer with decent prices. You can find the tires cheap enough online but when you add shipping OY!

Won't be doing this until probably Sept/Oct next year before the hunting season starts up( may as well run the OEM tires for the last month of winter and through the summer first ). However, I want to know WHAT I want and approx how much to have ready to do it.

I do NOT want to be backing my boat down a snowy/icey boat ramp next January and have the truck go one way and the trailer the other as it did this year. Man talk about dirty shorts!

Thanks again.

Guess I have finally settled on the Dueler AT Revo w/UNI-T. Now, I just have to find the best deal as soon as I have the $$$. No matter where I look I find nothing but good comments about these tires in regards to snow/ice, tread wear, and such.
