Best street tire

Just out of curiosity what do y'all think the best street tire is for your ram? From hooking to handling to all around performance?

I ran Pirelli's until they no longer offered the summer performance street tire I used in my size - 305/45/22 so I've switched to HANKOOK in that size and have been very happy so far...I would use Michelin but no size available...

If I'm not mistaken, Hankook does have some kind of business relationship with Michelin.

I went with Falkens similar to what I put on my Charger since I liked the way they performed on the car. Since it's a street only 2wd truck (plus they were on sale lol) it's worked out pretty well. Traction is always an issue for me, which is why cal-tracs are going in to try to help that...

I went with the Hankooks too. When i was doing research on high mileage and wet traction tires, the top 2 were #1 Michelin and #2 Hankook. But the Hankook was a much better price.

They had a very nice ride too. That is after I found and fixed my front end vibration. (from CV axles were way loose).

Went with Yokohama Parada Spec-X 305/40R22 tires. Good all around tires and get good traction at the track too.

As this new boss 302 mustang found out.

My nitto 420s have seem to be a pretty good street tire. I've had them for a couple years now an they seem to be a tad hard, but I've put about 16k miles on them with a 5/7 dropped truck an some spiritual driving/ cornering lol. Never did try them at the track tho. But I did cut a 1.89 60' on some Michelin LTXs back in the day haha

Stu, can you post a good picture of the rear tire/fender? Looking to see what the clearance is.
