Balance Beads

for the life of me , my wheel weights wont stay on my rims. i always lose a random one and the balance goes to **** like now, over 100 and shakes the crap out of me....so i started toying with the idea and i am interested now in adding these beads if they work as well as iv read....i seem to be veering towards ceramic beads but over on another forum i heard of guys using copper bb gun bbs and even airsoft bb's with decent results. just curious on input and if anyone uses these....also i have no tire sensors to worry about.

Years ago there were some 'bolt-on' balancers such as you describe and I believe I asked "MR TRUCK" who was one of the original founders of our HTC along with "MR HEMI" about getting some for the Ram 1500. MR TRUCK sold them at one time to fit large trucks - but not ours - think they were manufactured in Ft. Worth, Texas...not much help but a little history on your idea .

There is a weight ring out there with shot in it goes over the studs and gets pinched between hub and wheel they work fairly well. The company I have seen them made by is "centramatic". Give them a call and see what they have

That's the one I was trying the think of in my post above .

I do think that MR TRUCK (Former HTC Administrator) did have some kind of connection to them...

its the whole mud tire thing ithink, a 70lb tire with big knobs arnt the easiest to balaence i dont imagine , toss on a weight going missing and a crappy wheel alignement and its going to get progressively worse, which is where i am now.i can do a nother year out of these tires if i can get em balenced decent.
