285's vs. Wheel well liners

Thanks for the info on the liners. As far as the tires I'm guessing BFG is the way to go. Just hard to spend that much $$$$.
My stock Goodyears have actually done well with 44k on them. I could easily go past 50K. I want the next set to be more aggressive looking but durable, so I figured BFG or Nittos looked pretty bad *** as compared to the Goodyears. But the question is still out there ,?? Which is the better tire???

I have BFG AT 285x17 and dont have a problem at all. Not even close to rubbing. They look really tall on the floor before they mount them on your wheels but once they are on its all good! Zero road noise while driving, alittle when you turn but hardly noticeable.

No rubbing issues with 285's. As for BFG AT vs. Nitto TG...they're both great tires. I believe the Nittos are a little softer, but have more tread depth, so the longevity should be equal. I find it hard to shell out an additional $50/tire to a French-owned company to pay for all their advertising. For the money, I'd go with the Nittos.

Yes, Nitto and Toyo are part of the same company.

I am now running a 285/75/17 and have the stock wheel well liners...No issues at all, even w/o a level kit. Just a stock 1500 4x4.
