Falken Ziex performed well for me on 20 inch rims. Same tread pattern is on the 22's. Have your tires siped for added traction on slick roads.

Thumbs up

I'm using Hankook Ventus ST in a 305/45/22 size on the SRT10 wheel - they seem to work well so far...I did run Pirelli's in that size until they quit making them.

on your choice

Yokohama Spec X 305/40/22. Have ran these tires at the track too.

I run this same tire. I dont have any traction issues as long as i dont stomp on it. They are available in a 305/40/22 as well

thanks for all the input. i priced some 285/35/22 nitto 420s mount & balanced for $820 at a local custom shop. does this sound like a okay price?

also the passenger, inside front wheel and tire are getting "chewed" up, perfectly straight cuts into the wheel and tire. i just made a shock change (from toxic shocks to belltech streets) and replaced the hub. hoping this corrects the problem.

my fear is that i'm going to do this to the new set of tires. i don't want them to end up like the ones i have now. would a bad ball joint make such damage? should i add a small spacer for the wheels when i get the new tires to be on the safe side?

thanks again

I suppose you are saying "grooves", so what's rubbing on your tire causing the grooves? You also mentioned wheel, are you saying the rim is being damaged? I would suggest you turn the wheels lock to lock and see what is hitting. Are you lowered? Maybe consider limiting the suspension travel.

$820 mounted and balanced sounds like a pretty good deal.
