17inch wheel width

Im goin to be picking up a set of stock 17inch wheels, they are a 5 star with 2 rivet lookin things on the end of each spoke. Anyone know the width of these or if it would be safe to put 315/70/17's on them? Any info will be a help. Thanks

8" I believe and they are the offroad wheels from a 2004.

Recommended is 8.5 - 10in,.. but others will say you will be fine,.. Your tires will look at little narrow in the middle,.. but to each his own.

Good call. Nitto also offers the TG in 305/70R17. Just FYI.

Thanks Freeze, I looked at that size too. There is over a 200 plus total price diff between the 295's and 305's. I can get the 295's from discount tire for 179.00 each and the 305's are like 221.00 each.
