I want a smoother ride!!!

I've been in many debates and I have now been convinced that I can't get a smoother ride by getting a suspension lift. I have ProComp Pre Runner shocks... and I am finding it still unpleasant of the dirt roads in my back yard... that being the desert. Just the other week, I was driving on the dirt roads and apparently the vibrations shimmied my caliper bolts out and I lost my brakes...If I could post the picture from my phone, I would show ya'll the damage... lol... driving the last 3 miles back home was not fun with no brakes.

So I am curious, what is it that I need to do to get that smoother ride.... Please help me.

Ok if you want a smoother ride especially for off-roading then you need suspension travel. The only way to do that is get a fairly price lift kit that's not much of anlift but it's really soft in the seat and handles off-roading very well. KORE prerunner suspension lift is what you want. 12" susp travel while
Maintaining good street ability.

I've seen a couple places, but I'm looking at $5000 for just parts... Is that sounding right to you?

For a proper off-road high travel susp that's around going price. I'm talking coil over setups with remote reservoir shocks and what not.
