So I put a 2/4 on and have been sitting on my front bump stops for awhile now and needless to say it affects the ride as well as I dont like how much the truck is taking the impact on bumps. Anyways im going to trim my factory bump stops. Can I just cut them all the way until the metal piece meets the rubber or will the rubber burn when I go to weld back...or does anyone know of aftermarket replacements for the application with a drop? Thanks yall.

cut the bump stop cups totally off..there is a hole underneath it that you can bolt a bump stop onto.

Good to know! I am just now getting around to changing them out talk about a bumpy ride always sitting on them. Any bump stop brands or materials better than others?

I have one last question. How much clearance should I give the new bump stops from the a-arm? Im assuming since im not as low as (charged392's) truck than I probably will have more clearance. So is shorter better in this case?

Im pretty excited about this my ride quality sucks pretty bad bc im riding on those front stops and feel every little bump and the big bumps is like my front end is gunna fall out!

This thread has been dead for a while, but your solution for both front and rear is the Timbren Aeon springs in place of the bump stops. These things look like rubber bumps but are made out of some kind of special rubber designed for OTR trucks. They are usually sold as kits, but none of them were ever made specifically for lowered trucks. So you can buy them in pairs and for the rears make your own nut plate. the front just bolt into the holes after thye bump cup is knocked off. I use A140-65 in the front and A155-65 in the rear. I bought mine from a shop in Virginia Beach and they are dropped shipped to your address from the manufacturer. I'm having trouble posting pictures, but if you PM me your email address I'll send you pictures of mine. Also, I have NO finacial interest in any of this. Good luck
