Drop shackles

Just ordered MaxTrac 412120 drop shackles for my 05 should I be worried about pinion angle? Or what are your guys opinions

Are they 2"? If so, I wouldn't worry about the angle. It only drops lowers it about an inch, not the full 2.

They all do. Take a tape measured before and after. I do hope it works out for you though. If it does, I may swap mine out!

Does the 1" drop level the trucks pretty good? What do you have? I have a qc

Two inch drop shackles will lower the back end of a QC a little over an inch. Not so much on a RC. To get closer to two inches there are two options I know of. Spring clamps for the overload spring or removing the overload spring. I did both in that order on my 04. Removing the overload spring was way better for more drop and ride quality. I just threw on some firestone helper air bags to keep the back end level under load. No issue on stock pinion angle with only two inch drop.

Removing the overloads would definitely work. If I do that I may get a set of bolt on helper springs when I haul heavy.

well the verdict is in guys they lied..... im happy though dropped it 1 1/4 inches. still has a little rake but its better.

You can do what I used to do, park next to a stock Ram in a parking lot and you will see the leveling better. Even though you dropped less than two inches.
