Drop on bump stop

Installed a pair of 2" drop springs on front and 2" shackles on rear
2005 1500 Quad 5.7 short bed , drop 2 shocks on front

when we got through the bump stop was touching the a frame in the front
Looks great rides like a wooden wagon

Can i replace the bump stops with shorter one's
Did the same thing to my 02 1500 4.7 w/long bed no problems at all
any suggestions

Lowering the front you have to cut the factory stops/bracket off and bolt on a timbren or polyurethane aftermarket mount where the factory was.

The steel cup has two spot welds, grind the weld thar you can easily reach and drive a chisel under it and break it off. Smooth the welds and give is a shot of paint. The hole is already there for the new mount.

I reused the original bumpstop cup, removed the cup, holesawed a hole diameter of the cup in the frame support and welded the original cup back in flush this time.

Drilling the hole for the cup
