My front end needs to be rebuilt and while I'm doing so, I thought I'd go ahead and lower it. Doing my research I've found that I can do the calmax/DJM upper and lower on the front with new bushing and ball joints for not much more than a drop kit or even just the Moog rebuild kit for the front. On the rear instead of spending all the $$ on a flip kit I am looking at welding new spring perches on. My hopes are to get the front end rebuilt and lowered with the best bang for buck. Has anyone used the calmax/DJM stuff and what's everyone's opinion on my idea of rebuilding my front end and lowering? Thanks

I lowering it along with the rebuild. I'm not familiar with Calmax products and DJM I've never been a big fan of. I've had good success with Mcgaughys drop spindles and the flip kit is not expensive and a whole lot easier IMO than relocating spring hangers. The flip kits can be built using trailer supply house parts if DIY is what you want. Anyway my opinion. Also need to know what year and model truck you are working on. Welcome to the forum...

Thanks for your thoughts and opinion Redtruck, the calmax is just the "series" of control arms by DJM. I've never used them either but it's all tubular and that's why I was considering them.Obviously i just signed up but I've seen tons of great stuff on here so far. I can't figure out how to get my info into the signature portion so this is what I'm working with.

I have heard that the djm arms break a lot due to cheap manufacturing so take caution in using them. im sure they will work just be warry.
