I have a 05 Ram 1500 QC 4X4 with a 6" Fabtech suspension lift. I'm currently running 37x13.50 Nitto Mud grapplers on 20" Raceline Renegade 5 series. Tires are rubbing pretty bad when I turn sharp, so I am reduced to turning my 1500 like its a big rig. I know I want to switch to a 17" rim for the sake of tire cost. But now I am torn. Do I get a 2" or 3" body lift to clear the tires better or do I go back down to a 35" tire and stick with just the 6" suspension? Its hard to go back... lol. Just looking for opinions.

I think I'm gonna go with the lift. Found a place in San Antonio that will do a 3" body lift for $850. Eventually I will swap to 17" rims though for cheaper tires. But after the lift I need a ranchhand bumper to protect my truck from the deer and then its performance. Got to increase this gas mileage. 8.5 MPG. killin me.

Not too sure if going higher is going to help that 8.5 mpg.It will def. look way cooler though.

Drop down to 35's. You shouldn't be running 37's on a 1/2 ton without extensive IFS modifications and 4.56 gearing. Adding the Ranch Hand bumper is going to kill your mpg even further (great bumpers, but really heavy). 35's and 4.56's will be a killer combination. Trust me.
