6.1 srt parts interchange

this is wayne, hemiram 911, i work in a dealer, i have discovered that the forged steel crank , high lift cam and larger valves are all interchangeable with 5.7 motors. only mod needed is the valve seats in the heads need to be opened up to accept the larger valves and thecomputer issue to run the new valve lift and timing

hey mr hemi, yes i do own a hemi, 2003 2500 2wd, hd rear with the 4,10 gears i found this info in the chrysler service engine specs for the 05 charger with the 6.1 srt.all bearing journal sizes in the motor are identical, so it will all fit

oh and by the way, these valves are sodium filled in the 6.1 to stay cooler, and these parts are not verry expensive , especially for an employee, lol

Is the 6.1 a "STROKER" 5.7, or is the bore larger too?

All we need now is stronger valve springs...

I would bet the 6.1 has heavier valve springs than the 5.7

HR911; Does your book tell you if the pushrod length is the same? Are the rocker arms the same? That must be a wide *** seat in those heads if it will fit a 1.50 and 1.60 valve with same seat. Hate enlarging hardened seats. It takes forever.
