4x4 to 2x4 springs

Does anyone know if swapping in a set of 2 wheel drive front springs will lower the truck any? I would like to get it about an inch lower.

If your 4X4 is like mine it has a torsion bar front suspension. You would need to change a lot to go to coil springs. Is that what you have. Or did they change it on the newer trucks?

Don't the 4x4s have struts rather than springs/shocks?
