2007 1500 4x4 what lift is best

Hiya all long time since I posted. I am finally going to get a lift. My question is witch one and what tires and rims. My truck is a daily driver in Arizona. I need a 6 inch to follow my uncles jeep into the areas he goes. I have a 2007 1500 quad cab with the big horn package, (20 inch rims sure that they should go away for 17 or 18 inch). I just want the safest and best lift for the money. I thought BDS was but I really want new front coil overs also and there kit doesnt have them. Please lend me your thoughts.

did a bit more reading. I think I need a pro comp stage II lift and go with and go with 17 or 18 x 9 rims and some 35 in tires with 5100 shocks in the back. Carp thats with a block in back. Will repost again when I figure out the rear end.

Check out KORE Performance. Stick with 17 x 9 wheels, preferably forged aluminum, and pair them with BFG M/T KM2's, Toyo Open Country MT, or the new General Grabber.

i have a 6in left on my 2007 mega cab its a pro comp w/ fox racing shox i love it but ill prob. take out the blocks in the back end and put in air bags. the reason im going to air bags is because they sent me a 3in block and not a 4in block so my front end seats up higher my back end.

I wouldn't use 4" blocks anyway. Too much axlewrap, especially with the stock springs. Try a set of Deaver progressive leafs. Expensive, but worth it.

Thanks all for the advice. Will check into Kore. Just had my passenger side coil over start leaking today so I need to get something done soon.

Just went on Kore site. All I could find was leveling kit. (it said it could go to 3.5 in., but no lift in the back) This message has been edited. Last edited by: rschemi, document.write(''+ myTimeZone('Mon, 25 Oct 2010 18:13:40 GMT-0700', '25 October 2010 09:13 PM')+''); 25 October 2010 09:13 PM

Well I thought I had extra money for new coilovers lol. Truck is going to dealer on Monday for new ones under warranty. So I think I am going back to the BDS 6 inch lift. Freeze any input and Twistedmetal sorry for the run around.

Have my new coilovers and a few things fixed for free (thanks Tempe Dodge). Just waiting for alittle input on what lift I should get. I looked at Freezes lift and they have one for my year but not with the X, and they are the cheapest I have seen for a 6 inch kit.
