What I have

Sorry if this is the wrong place but just thought I would post a thread of what my truck is and see what people think.

I have a 1994 dodge ram 1500 4x4 base model
I have
2003 HEMI basically stock accept 6.1l valve Springs and cold air intake and exhaust, 545rfe custom built, 231 transfer case rebuilt, stock 94' differential's all 03 electronics Incl. Overhead display, gauge cluster, pcm, steering column ("I beg for someone to try steal my truck. Good luck haha") basically if I did a cab swap it would have been easier but I'm a sucker for punishment so I decided to power train swap instead so far I've got a total of $1100 invested as the 03 sport HEMI was free from the father in law and had a broken valve spring.
Factory 94' dash, modified door panels for 03 power controls, Honda Accord seats ( mucho squishy) 😉 rubber floor which will soon be carpet as soon as I'm done with interior hacking and slashing hope to hear from people. Any questions are welcome and I'll do my best to answer them

You have done great having graft the 03 electronic into the 2g truck. That's not the easiest thing to do. A junkyard 05 pcm usually cost around $100. For better tuning support for future mods I'd recommend using the 05 pcm. The only difference is your need a second o2s as the 05 uses 2 front and two rear. The rears can be eliminated using a cmr tune. The 03 tcm wiring basically gets moved to c4 on the 05 pcm. You can sort this out using the service manual pin-outs for the 03 and 05 pcm's.there is plenty of research you can do here on the forum. We all love hot rods and yours is certainly one. Glad you you found us.

We'll to be honest I was going to try and run the stock 46re trans and run a stand alone but turns out its cheaper to just swap everything from the 03 and if I can spend time over money I'm all for it. It was a perfect running truck but the body was rotted so bad it looked like someone cut the floors and wheel wells off and the 94 had a clapped out 318 so take 2 half *** trucks and make 1 wicked tire shredder

Does a a 94 rear axle have a tone ring? The 03 axle should have bolted in and it would have disc brakes. This a good swap as long as you don't overpower the trans. I am not a fan of the 545rfe. Gotta love a hot rod...

eventually it will be getting the 03 rear diff just saving up for a locker and going to gusset the housing and 4 link it at the same time so for now its just the 94 9.25 open diff and it had rear abs and it does read a wheel speed on the 03 cluster and is accurate to the tire size
