Updates happening!

Windshield is being replaced today after I managed to crack it when repairing the blend doors in the HVAC. And I placed an order for a Key Part steel cowl hood from Summit. Should be arriving this coming Thursday.

Also working on moving to Tucson, AZ in the next month, therefore eliminating any smog worries in California

Nope, just haven't been doing much with the truck after getting the layoff notice. My final day was this past Friday, the 28th. Been putting together a plan for everything and now I have the freedom to get started on it.

Hood, grill and front bumper will get painted sometime in November or December at the latest. I'll have the whole truck gone over to fix body work like the ding in the bed and the peeling clear coat on the leading edge of the roof and fenders. After that, I'll start planning for the engine again.

Tracking # for the hood is saying it should be delivered tomorrow sometime. Coming out of the Nevada warehouse so it's pretty quick to get here. Hopefully there aren't any issues with it when it arrives so I can get it installed.

Hood arrived around today! I was able to swap the hoods out in about 45 minutes by myself. Easier than I expected and both the stock hood and the cowl hood are lighter than I thought they would be. The cowl hood isn't perfectly lined up but it's good enough for now since the body shop will have to remove it anyhow for paint in a couple months. Super happy with it and I actually kind of like the black opn red like this. Might keep more of it black when I do the paint.

Older pic showing the before at a similar angle. The hood and all black front end makes the truck much more muscular looking I think.

Looks awesome! A gloss black hood or accents would look sweet
