Trans cooler

Hello I have a question . Where is the trans cooler restrictor located I dint have constant cooler flow until the trans is warm
I was told that's it is the cooler and other people tell me its in the trans.
I would appreciate the infp

I'm pretty sure it is in the trans (545RE). I don't remember seeing anything in the cooler.

Yes, referred too as a 545RE. The difference between the two is in the electronics. Look at the data plate on the driver side about mid way down the case.

The previous generation transmissions had a check ball inside the transmission by the cooler line fitting...not sure about the 545RFE. Here's the service manual for it, it might have what you're looking for:

Don't believe there is one. You have the over pressure blow off inside trans pan and the the solenoid for the cooler if there is one I forget.
