The white moose sleeper

I've been involved with vehicles and mechanical work for some time but now I finally hit the point in my life where I can upgrade my own cars and learn about performance, which I don't know much about only basics haha. I have a 2003 dodge ram 2500 5.7 hemi 4x4 Heavy Duty. It has a 6in suspension lift and 3 in blocks sitting on 35x12.5x20 open countries.
I have a rebuilt throttle body, K&N air filter, monster bank exhuast, and new fuel pump.
Also have 2 pioneer speakers, Kenwood radio and a 10 in kicker sub with box.
And led cab lights.
104xxx
I want to make her a sleeper but moving 9000 pounds isn't easy ha. I have a few ideas like converting it to a true short ram air intake. Buying a separate motor to upgrade heads ( to what I don't know ) to do short runner intake along with a y down pipe ( to pass emissions ) and throw in a mild cam.

Anyone had any different builds PLEASE help haha I'm open minded and always eager to learn. Love dodges owned 3 now.

Well the platform your starting with isn't the most desired. Tuning can be an issue but a couple tuners are doing pretty well with them. Charged392 & Jmgak47 have some pretty stoute 03's out there. Do your research before you dive in head first. If you've had 3 Mopars then you know it won't be cheap. I'm running Big Valve Heads and a Custom Grind Cam from Greene Racing(Jmgak47). Full boltons and an Edge converter. The truck is definitely FUN to drive.

Dave, what size tires do you recommend? Heavy a$$ tires can kill performance.

Look at getting 4:56 gears. That single mod will put a smile on your face!

Is there another build you'd recommend by a different manufacturer or?

If my memory serves me, Yukon or Motive Gears, and Detroit or Alburn Locker. I'm planning on doing gears some day. Just not sure when, at this moment.

Alrighty thanks for the info. What way can i check to see what gearing I have. I believe they come stock either with a 3.73 or a 4.10

In not sure what gearing you'd have being a 2500. I assume either 3.73 or 3.92 .Also, I'm pretty sure the 2500's have 10.25 rear ends, instead of 9.25 like the 1500's and Dakota's. Just make sure you order the correct stuff.

There are a few Hemi parts dealers. Matt @ Moes Performance is Great to deal with. He uses Modern Muscle for his Cams/Heads and Hemifever to tune. Inertia Motorsports, HHP, there are a few more
