Exclamation

An OEM SRT10 steel hood will probably fit and finish out better...but you can't beat the KOOL FACTOR of the old school shaker...and very few people will have ever them .

The fit is ok but will require some trimming to make all the body lines look good, if you are that picky about it. The hood will not come with the intake for it unless you specify that you want it, but it's just an AirRaid kit that you can probably buy for less afterwards. The SRT10 hood kit number is 82208702. Check for pricing on that kit but I think you will find that it will run you about half the price of what the shaker hood costs.

Hoods are like wheels, it's a personal choice. I've always shied away from SRT stuff. It just doesn't feel right to me. ...

The shaker is definitely durable. Like anything aftermarket, it can sometimes have some fitment issues. The shaker seals very nicely to the hood and has two different drain locations that you need to route the tubing for so water can,t build up inside of it. It doesn't move at all with the hood closed, as it shouldn't, but shakes like crazy with it open and idling with a big cam.
I get a lot of people checking out the hood and asking how the induction works as local events. I bought this hood as it is the only truck with a shaker that I have seen outside of the internet. If I hadn't bought the shaker then I would have bought the SRT10 hood.

Shaker or SRT both look great on the Ram, While the scoop used on the Rumble Bee looks good, I would buy something different if buying. I'm leaning towards the 6-pack hood for my truck, but I need a "truly" functional scoop for my set up. The SRT hood scoop sold as functional, really isn't, it's too low to actually catch any air, from what I've read. If looks is the only factor, both look fantastic, but the shaker hood is funtional.

Question

Wonder if anyone has ever tried to do a version of the old (60's/70's) 'drag pack hood' (air grabber) with the scoop that opens up from the hood on vacuum command .
