Seat belt not retracting?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else has, or has had a problem with the seatbelt not retracting? This has been going on for a while now, but it's been getting worse for me. I can sort of coax it back in with a little persuasion, but it's definitely becoming a PITA! I sometimes forget, and I hear a sickening "clunk" when I close the door, and it hits the buckle which is hanging out. does anyone have any solutions/fixes for this? any help would be appreciated.

My 2014 does it, WHAT A PAIN IN THE backside., shut the door 2 weeks ago, dam thing bounced back open and hit, me...the metal male end prevented the door from closing...I tried spraying the mechanizing with some WD-40..got me a week of bliss.

Sadly getting a new belt is the only fix as there really is no way to fix it there's a charge in the new tensioners that will go off in a crash so playing with it is not advised

Would something like this possibly fall under the safety requirements (like air bags, etc.) and factory responsibility such as the emissions system?
