Yes many of us with '05 models got the notice...but my dealer seems very uninterested in making the repairs .

Dealer put my truck on a waiting list for the airbag recall, been on it for 4 months. Service writer said Chrysler sends them 20 kits, they have to install all 20, turn in all 20 defective units, before they can order 20 more kits. Maybe by next year I will have mine serviced. If I move from here in this next year, I may have to start all over again with a different dealer.

Yeah got mine also but not caring or waiting on any lists. Just gonna deal with
Mine. Factory pinion nut is gone and been for awhile. The airbag just gonna not hit anything and hope for the best.

I got my recall for the pinion nut about 2 months ago. I'm still waiting on the "official" recall notice from Chrysler for the airbag. According to customer service, they have done testing on 1000 airbags with only 1 failure. I'll take that with a grain of salt. He also said that they had to have 500,000 airbags manufactured and they are waiting on those to send out notices. Also taken with a grain of salt.

Type your VIN here and check it out!

I've got both pinion and airbag recalls, no parts for either. Hopefully I don't hit anything when I lose control after my pinion nut falls off

Good luck!

Exclamation

I guess the take-home-message for those of us with the '05 is:

...just don't hit anything and have your nuts fall off .
