European Conversion

I have an 08 Ram 1500 laramie edition quad cab and was wondering about converting it to european specs. I dont know if this is the place to start, im looking at the laws and all in Germany to do so as well, but figured this might be a spot to start. I know that I will have to change the tail lights from a red blinker to Amber. Anyone know of any good ones out there?

Also is there a group or chapter in Germany??

Thanks in advance guys

There's a few members over that way. The conversion I'm not sure what is needed for that maybe those members will chime in and give you the rule break down.

From the conversion I did many years ago I remember the headlights were the big thing as they pointed right instead of left..

Thanks for the advice so far, i have to continue looking into it, biggest pain is just shipping from the us to there to help get parts. Seen several dodge's in my area but nothing in the form of parts at a local store. Thanks again

Hello I'm from Belgium but can't help you with the conversion, in Belgium nothing has to be changed on a dodge to make it street legal.

I can help you with a good parts source Welkom bij de specialist in Dodge Ram onderhoud en onderdelen, the shop is located in Rotterdam but he will ship the parts to your door for a reasonable price. The owner is very helpfull and very very knowledgeable about dodge rams, has weekly shipments coming over from the US, he combines shipping on ordered parts for various customers and that way he can offer very reasonable shipping charges!

Tell them Daimler owned Chrysler once-upon-a-time and maybe they'll say everything is ok .

My back up lights are now my indicates and I put a small light under the bumper for my fog and back up light. You should not have to change your headlights as you drive on the right hand side of the road.
