Drag tires?

Seems folks are getting serious about throwing down some good time slips. So begs the question, what size rims and tires are the fast trucks using?
The 26" DR's I used are really short for the trucks.

28/10.5/17 Hoosier slicks work great with 4.56 gears running 6k shifts puts me at end of third in 1/4. With 4.10 gears like I have now I have some room to run still. When I eventfully switch trans down the road will need a 30/32" tire because leaving on the break I'm going to go way faster

What rim will be needed to run 30/32" tires?

I still have a pair of SS/T 17x9 rims I'd like to use if I could find a 30" tire.

The size Keith mentioned is pretty much it for us on a 17" rim. For the life of me tho I can't remember my trap rpm. On that setup w/ 456s

This is the tallest tire I could find. Needs a 12" wide rim....

This is the obvious choice for the SS/T rims.

Have a pair of M&H Racemasters 30X14.50-16LT (HB11) slicks.

But, will have to mod the caliper bracket and cut down the rotor by 1/2". And yes, it can be done. I'll post up the mod when I get to it.
