My 2003 had 7/8 spun rod bearings knocked like crazy until oil pressure came up them was faint. Pulled motor
And stroked it to 6.4

Any body ever R&R rod bearings with our pulling motor.

it just started wonder if I could get buy with just installing some bearings? I have lift on truck should be able to get oil pan off pretty of clearance? Was just wondering if anyone has done this?

I'm pretty sure your have to have the motor pulled to work on the bottom. There's no room on my 2wd. Good luck..

It can be done engine in truck provided your only swapping bearings out. Dropping the crank will require an r/r or trans then crank.

Yes i have swapped out Rod bearings on many other motors Big Trucks Diesels ect. Was hoping i could cheat this one just to get me buy till i can do proper rebuild. I do realize no amount of polishing will repair a really bad journal. So i figure if i tear in to it to see here soon. Only been knock about 900 mikes figure just maybe i can save it before a catastrophic failure.

Any suggestion on Rod Bearings any new and improved or aftermarket thats better than factory? How about undersized any availability there?
