03 fuel pressure gage readings?

Ok this is for those who have fuel pressure gages. We know the 03 is setup for 48psi and 04+ are 58psi. A little history, I run a 05 pump @ 58psi and had no problems with DTC "rich condition" using the OEM PCM, Then I installed the Megasquirt stand alone tuner and have now removed it going back to the stock OEM PCM. The problem is I am now getting a DTC for rich condition and my LT fuel trims are pulling fuel at -20 + with fuel pressure showing an erratic 55-66 psi. My question is have I simply trashed the fuel regulator or is there something else causing the problem? What pressure are you guys seeing on your gages? My AFR is showing richer then normal running in the 13.5-14.5 range at cruise. Here is one picture just for reference.

Thanks,

I doubt the megasquirt had anything to do with the trims the 03 PCM just is not use to that much extra fuel and before you were just lucky I guess not sure

The fuel pressure is normal 56-64psi from what I have seen at work I run 56-58psi on my setup

Haha lucky I've never been.
I agree, running the MS doesn't affect the current trim problem. I just need to get the pressure down so the 03 PCM tune can deal with it. When you observe the gage while running is it a bit erratic or is it a steady reading?

Thanks,

Installed twin oem fuel pumps with regulators. Each pump supplies a fuel rail. Just a steady 50 psi fuel pressure under wot. But, will need to raise the fuel pressure in the future.

Ok, I see I need to get the pressure down to a more reasonable level for my 03 PCM to handle. Still don't know how the OEM PCM handled the pressure for the year before I installed the MS. IDK....
