Is it possible to lower the rear of my 03 QC 4x4 to level it out with the front and at least retain the stock towing capacity?

Rob

Welcome to the HTC, snooprob. You can lower the back end, but it will probably affect your towing ability. Your other option is to visit Truxxx.com and pick up a pair of torsion bar keys to lift your front end 2" and level the ride. You can stick with the OEM front shocks if you want, but you'll get a much better ride by upgrading to the Bilsteins listed on the site (P/N B46-2129) or the Rancho RS9000X adjustable shocks for the 02-05 1500 w/ 4" lift (P/N RS99283). Gearman loves his new Bilsteins. I tried to order the Bilstein 5100 series with the top stud mount and correct length, but they're backordered 'til August, so I picked up the Ranchos at a local Advance Auto Parts (10% discount for militry), borrowed a pair of ball-joint separators (I know they sound like some sort of prison sex device, but they're nothing more than big C-clamps), and I'm planning on installing them tomorrow. The company that I bought my torsion bar keys also recommended the Ranchos.

Don't level the truck by dropping the arse end - crank up the front - you can crank the factiry keys probably enough to get it close to level - you'll need new shocks once you raise the front up. The big debate is whether to swap out the factory torsion keys or not - I changed mine out with the Truxxx keys - I can probably hook you up with ap air for $185 instead of the truxxx web price of $310. (can't guarantee it but I'll get you the info for a friend on another Dodge forum)

TheGearman, do you still have that hook up with the Truxxx keys?

Thanks!
