392 ls rear end

I have a chatter in the differential of my 04 Ram 1500. I will pull it apart to take a look. Just wondering if any one has a 392 ls for sale if I need it.

It is likely the clips are the problem...consider an upgrade to a different differential set-up if you wish to avoid additional future problems .

Unfortunately the clips are harden steel and have the potential to ruin the rear axle housing, so open it up ASAP.

Greg is RIGHT Unfortunately many have had bad and expensive experiences with the stock 3:92 LSD - especially with the earlier model Gen. 3 trucks. You might (???) get lucky with one of the recall notices for repairs...and save some cash .

Your VIN should trigger any recall notices related to safety...somewhere on here a web site was posted to check them...but I don't have it right now.

I opened it up and cleaned out the pieces. Filled it with Amsoil and friction modifier---seems to be allright. I have my fingers crossed.
