Anyone tried the clamptite? I saw it on one of the TV car shows. Being a shade tree mechanic I've twisted wire around hoses and split wooden handles for many years. I don't like the looks of hose clamps. The clamptite IMO looks pretty good. http://www.clamptitetools.net/
I've seen it on a lot of vessels/platforms I've worked on on the fire hoses, always like the clean look of it but never knew how they did it, up until now
If it's allowed in North Sea oil/gas platforms which has the most ridiculous at times stupid safety culture it must be a real good dependable system!
It is apparently plenty strong. I got a 1lb can of stainless wire to get started. The draw back is it takes a little time to install. But I don't like the looks of the screw clamp I'm using.
That thing is pretty neat that's for sure. Only issue I see is a lot of times there is little to no room to use something like that except on easily reached big hoses
I'm hoping to use it to replace the clamps on the intercooler, the others we will have see about.
