We're finally getting some decent rain! We're 5" below normal for the year, but three or four FEET below normal for the past decade or so. All we need is 1/2"/day for the next hundred days or so.

We're getting some too. We could do without the tornado's though. The Metroplex has really gotten hammered today. It's wild to see semi-trailer 300'in the air. If your local Fox station doesn't show it I'll be surprised. Sounds like about 8 different tornadoes hit the area. Most of the bad stuff is just about past us. Still lots of heavy lightening though. Talked to Kima and they made it alright. Haven't been able to get Phil (madcat). Cell phones have been useless most of the afternoon.

Congrats on the rain Mike.

They are saying now that as many as a dozen tornado's hit North Texas. I can't wait until the sun comes up to see how many limbs/trees we have down. At least it put some rain in the ponds...wonder how much. I know the smaller pond here at the house was running over. Sure beats the extreme drought conditions we had last year. Hope it doesn't come back like they say it might.

Living in my fools paradise as i, do I cannot imagine what it must be like to endure a tornado.
Thinking of you all. Stay strong.
