Wow! 1700 Hp! :D

I read somewhere that one of those Kaase mountain motor 815 Hemis can go for $75k depending on exactly what parts you order.

Here's a look at a Sonny Leonard Hemi "Chevy" mountain motor.

Yep, now if I can just figure out how to get one in the truck...

Is that a Sonny Leonard or Jon Kaase? I love 500 inch NHRA Pro Stock stuff, but these IHRA mountain motors are way too cool!
It's a John Kaase motor.....

Hmm, bet that is why they say to call for pricing....

Ok, will that be Paypal or CC? or maybe first born, second born, and possibly even third born.....

That's just the price to own one.
If you actually want to use it, ya gotta feed it.
When ya feed it, ya wanna make it go as fast as it can.
A couple of times like that, then you'll be tearin' it down to build it up more or repair it.

I'm falling.
It's so dark in here.
I can't see the light.
I think that was my wife leaving me.
Hey Mister, have ya got a dime?

That's just way overpriced. There's nothing there that can justify costing that much. Some prima donna decided that since they designed it and slapped a name on it that it'll cost an arm and a leg. Bet it cost 10% of that to build.

Maybe so. But it is a lot of high dollar billet CNC machined stuff. I think the block and heads are billet.

"billet" just means it was created using a single piece of material. Sure, that costs more than a cast, but come on. Next someone will tell me the price is justified to pay the machinist who sat there and watched while the CNC did all the work.

Setting up a CNC machine is not a simple task. But I agree this stuff is overpriced because so many racers will pay anything for an edge.
