Update and 6.1 sale

Well, we finally got the 426 on the dyno and it's currently in route to H-town where my truck has been anxiously awaiting it's new mill in the new shop. I haven't seen the dyno, I'll post as soon as I have it, but it broke 640hp on one of Arrington's engine dynos. I'm pretty happy breaking 1.5hp/inch with a pump gas motor, but supposedly 427 GMC boy will break 700. We'll see, but I got some tricks up my sleeve.

Also, Arrington just launched their new site this week and MrH gratiously allowed me to tell all about the 6.1 bare and short block sale they're running through the weekend. They have a bunch of each and are looking to make some room, so it may be a good time for those looking to upgrade.

Arrington

Sweet! Shades of yesteryear! 426 Hemi vs. 427 Chevy. My money is on the Hemi.

Not sure, Marc. GMC boy is having some issues getting valvetrain parts from Crane. I should be ready to go by the end of the month, but want to get some track time first. Hopefully, it will all be done by March.

Dave - I was thinking of you a week or so ago. Art sent me one of Henson's '08 calendars full of old Challengers: Sox and Martin, Motown car and more I know you'd appreciate. I have an extra one I'd be happy to send you - just PM me your mailing address.

TCI Ultimate Street Fighter Torqueflite 727 with a 3600 stall and a full-manual, reverse-pattern shift. When my truck fun account recovers (if ever, I think my tire bill will keep this account empty) I'm going to put a Gear Vendors splitter on it for 6-speeds.

Here are some pics of the build so far.

That's AWESOME Jared. You'll be the first to break the 500rwhp mark N/A easily. How much of a PITA was installing and tuning the standalone?
