It's just a platinum plug vs the copper plugs. You can use the copper plugs they are cheaper. Will the perf be down won't really be able to tell I don't think. I would suggest running a platinum at least though of ot were mine. Only

5306s are not platinum. It's often possible to get 'em for around a buck fifty, but usually $1.80 or so. I paid $27 and $29 for the last two sets. It's time for new ones in the C. I'll tackle that task when the blast furnace is turned down.
I wonder if the SRT needs different ones. The SRT-10 uses platinums, I think.
I think it's due to there ability to last a little longer given the PCM is setup to run more perf minded than a 5.7. Basically for abuse purposes and the spark conducts easier on a platinum plug than a copper too.
I run iridium NGK's in my moose, and if you have to ask, you can't afford them. They actually do last longer, but I need mine because I also run a Plasma Booster which makes the plugs fire hotter, and for a longer duration.
