After long and hard thoughts over the last few days and finding some things that were going to need attention. I made the very hard choice of trading my truck.

I have always been a die hard Dodge owner. Since the early 70's. My Hemi was one of the best, most reliable vehicles I had ever owned.

It never let me down. Ever. Performed like no other truck and became the test bed platform for numerous mods.

My health issues have, over the last year been difficult to deal with. And arthritis in my lower back and hips made getting in and out of the truck a difficult task at times.

And living in Upstate NY, with the snow and salt had caused some rust to start on the rocker panels . So, while the truck was still worth good money the time had come.

I will eventually get another Hemi truck. There is no doubt about that. More than likely one that is a couple of years old and with all of the toys...or maybe a R/T is in my future.. who knows.

So for now I become a former hemi truck owner.

The ride is in the pic below: 2005 Cadillac DeVille, one owner 73K. Walked away on a clean deal, they paid off my truck (I had 6 payments left)and I own this free and clear.

Y'all will still see me around the forum, not to worry. The best extended family anyone could ask for.

Sweet ride George.

Did you take the Nitrous out of it before you got rid of the Ram?

Completely understand George! I'm sure letting that truck go was hard to do though

Don't be a stranger

As I was taking all the goodies off her, which was very hard for me, many memories came to mind.

Of good friends and GTG's, Rallys and times shared.

That truck never gave me one reason to regret buying it.It never went back to the dealer for repair. It took everything I could throw at it and then some.

I only hope the next one I get will serve as well as my 05 did.

You'll miss the beast, but for now it was the right thing to do. The Caddy will make it an easier ride for you when you come to Texas.

Mary ask what was wrong when you called. She said "It isn't Sunday, what's wrong?"

I'll be waiting for a picture of you with the "hat".
