I woke up at 5:15 this morning to head out the door for my usual walk. Around 5:32 I was fortunate to photo the testing of a PAC-3 contrail with my cell phone. In fact I watched the last 20 approximate seconds of the source itself. It did a little spiral and vanished.

More about the launch.

I would assume, after reading the story, I caught the second one they self destructed. In the photos, I figured the destruct part happened left side of the contrail and it fizzled out going to the right. Especially, since the source of the propellant fanned out and just vanished with no explosive trace at the end. I wondered if the “self destructed as planned” didn’t go off just right, where this missile would have landed? LOL…Yikes!!!
