As you know last month a 74 year old woman drove her car into a Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurant in Amherst, NY killing my brother-in-law's (my sister's husband) brother and his wife. Their 13 year old son Matthew was injured but he's OK now. Today the company announced that it will reserve 10% of their proceeds NATIONWIDE for a scholarship fund for Matthew. This shows a lot character about the Company and their Executive Team. I'm going to stop in their nearest store and thank them personally.

Update... 10/28/2011
This Stand-UP Company has my undying respect..

On 10/25/2011 I posted the following Thank You on Cheeburger-Cheeburger's web site:

I want to thank you for your generosity of offering 10% of your proceeds today for a Scholarship Fund for Matthew Bennett (my sister's nephew) whose parents were killed in your Amherst store last month. Your offer speaks volumes of your character as a Company and Executive Team. Again, thank you so much as this will ease the stress for the Bennett family. God Bless you, Mark Schuster

Today 10/28/2011 I received this reply:
Mark,
Thank you for your email acknowledging our fundraiser for Matthew.
We were all shocked and saddened by this terrible tragedy that occurred at our Amherst Cheeburger Cheeburger.
All our franchise family immediately felt it was important to help Matthew any way possible during this tragic time. We are happy to say the fundraiser was a great success and that the monies raised can be used to help Matthew in the future.
We send our prayers and thoughts out to Matthew and all his family and appreciate the opportunity to help.

Sincerely,
Samuel Lundy
President/COO
Cheeburger Cheeburger Restaurants, Inc.
