Or even a 3rd grader sometimes. I find myself having to Google several of the terms and methods they teach my daughter who is in the third grade. I'm sure it's because they teach a completely different way of doing math than when I was in the third grade and has nothing to do with me forgetting anything.

Forgetting anything? Surely you have heard the old quotation, "If you don't use it, you'll lose it?" Refresher courses in math cyberspace is a good thing! It will give you plenty of practice in reving up a few search engines before your daughter hits high school.

Don't feel like the lone stranger. I went through the same thing with my two. Now with one out of high school and the other a sophmore, They're pretty much on their own.

They do come home with some interesting new methods...most are pretty cool if you look at them closely.
