Need some suggestions

The friend of my step son just recently bought the following :its a 1978 Dodge Warlock truck , series 100 with 318 and a four speed. He want's to put a Mopar crate motor in it with a compatible manual transmission and rear end and wants a/c in it.
He wants it to be streetable but still have a good bit of HP and a budget wasn't mentioned. They asked me and I said I'm not sure but I know who would have some very doable suggestions which is why I asked this question to y'all.
Any input is gratefully appreciated and thanks.

Dave

I would do a 5.7 Hemi with a 5spd tranny out of a 3/4 ton.

Thumbs up

Can't wait to see it!

I've also often thought an 'old school Lil Red Wagon' with a thumping / pumping 426 and all the current safety & comfort updates would be a sweet ride.

There are several stand alone ECM's that can be used or the 05 Ram PCM and harness. All of these have a bit of a sticker shock unless you are a real DIY type and build it yourself. Good luck..
