Hey everyone. My 05 1500 Hemi has developed a weird noise. It happens under hard accelleration and sounds like stones flying off the tires hitting something metallic. But there are never stones in my tires so I know that's not it. Happens below 30-40 MPH only. Sounds like it's on the driver's side. I crawled under and could not find anything that looked out of place, but I'm not a mechanic.

Any ideas?

I use 89. I have a Superchips tuner with it set on the 87 setting - sorry, forgot to include that with the original post.

they thought you heard spark knock, sounds like that wouldn't be the case if you use 89 on the 87 tune.

It's 2WD. I am definately using 89, but I will check tonight to make sure I have it on the 87 tune.

Even if I am using the right gas on the right tune, could it still be spark knock? Does anything else cause spark knock?

Sorry, means x2= I agree with previous statement. KR is Knock.
Meaning It sounds like to me it could be pre-ignition knock.

Edit: I have some minimal fuel knock running 93 on a 91 tune. It's hard to find good fuel in my area.
