I walked out into the garage and looked through the door window. This is what was just outside the yard.
There were 7 does in the back yard this morning. More deer this year than ever before..

He's been laying there for 2 hours and seems to just be enjoying the sunshine. I wanted him to get up but he's not having it yet.

They are more brazen this year than I have witnessed in many years. I attribute most of it to the scarcity of food and water around my part of Texas.

You'll never guess what spooked him enough to make him leave...about 50 wood ducks. They sounded like an airplane when they came in...
Most of them landed in what little water is left in the pond. Guess there wasn't room for all of them.
