Has any of our members/friends had knee replacement surgery?
I, unfortunately or not, am looking at having both my knees replaced in the next few weeks.
Yes, both at the same time. And before Christmas.

Please tell me about your experiences.

Normally both knees are not addressed at the same time.

Why yes, yes I have.
Was the second best thing that I had replaced. I have a hip and a knee done. And was always in pain and now can do just about anything I want to do(just not a rockette). One thing that will help you out the most is do the exercises before (do what you can with out pain) and after you have them done. It will help your recovery time and be back up to normal faster. My sisters (three of them) have had there’s done too. And are back to doing what they want to. Be patent with recovery. Takes time for them to heal. Don’t try and force the recovery faster then what your body can do. But, do the exercises your physical therapist sets up for you and you should have no problems.

One thing I for got it's been 7 years for my hip and 6 for the knee.

At the hospital that I had mine done at, they will do both knees or both hips but, not a knee and a hip at the same time. The therapy for them is different for them between the two. And they do hundreds of them a month. One of my sisters had both hers done at the same time and had no problems with hers.

That's tough Eric. Mother-in-law and sister-in-law both had it done earlier this year. Wife and I have been able to get by with scoping and shots so far. It's a long and trying process.
