A while back Doug posted a link to some similar old photos. These are keepers too, although some may have been on the other site. I was born in the decade of the 1940s.

Cool old photos Dave. Miketally will like #12.. I think it's his uncle that is restoring an old PBY in Pensacola.

I think #30 is also a PBY with the sailor and the bombs.

Loved the parachute picture. Had a canopy malfunction back in 85 which saw my left leg go the way of the surgeon's saw. It was a most exciting moment of my life. I have had many, but this has seen me donate the ashes of my leg to an american artist living in New Zealand who is painting pictures using the ashes of the dear departed. I'm still around but interested in what comes next.
Google Mark Wahlberg Pahiatua for the story.

Interesting story Mark. Do you have any idea what the painting is going to be of?

Hi Rancher.
I made it very clear to the lady she was under no obligation to me as far as her creativity went. I was just pleased to finally do something with my leg other than having it sit on the shelf gathering dust.
Hope to go down country next month and meet the lady and view her achievements.. I'll post some pics when I get them.

Cool Mark! It will be interesting to see what she makes your leg look like.
