The Texas Chapter had planned to have a "Get Together" for our annual meeting and instillation of officers for the year. Well no one was able to make it except the Muffins and us.
The Gaylord Texas Hotel, near the D/FW Airport has for the last few years bought millions of ton's of "ice" and had Chinese ice sculptors come and carve figures based on a particular theme. This years theme was from the movie "Madagascar", where Santa crash lands in an African jungle. The animals have to save Christmas. Can't tell you more because I didn't see the movie.
The hotel is unbelievable huge. The center atrium must be several acres with a river running around. Restaurants, shops and exhibits everywhere you look. The place is awesome. Here are a few pictures we took. It was a great day with good friends.

Atrium dome..

There were miniature trains every where. Mostly Christmas scenes.

Since we are in Texas there had to be a Longhorn there.
He's not made of ice though.

Morris and I tried to slip away but the girls were keeping an eye on us. There was a lot of "pretty scenery" walking around.
