I shouldn't be allowed out by myself.

I'm in the process of buying bits and pieces for a engine oil primer and was at the hardware store checking out at the cashier. The total was something like $16.44. I gave the pretty young lady a twenty and said wait, I have a pocket full of change let me see what I have. Pulled out a handful of change along with three screws and my pocket knife. Started counting out the change, looking like I was going to be a little short and instantly asked, what can I get for a screw? She stared at me for a very long moment. I said, you know that didn't sound quite like I meant it. She just smiled....

There was another old guy standing next to me. I don't think he saw the screws in my hand and only heard what I said. Glad I was driving the wife's suv and not Red. To say he looked shocked would have been an understatement.

Sometimes we speak, when we shouldn't. I had one of those times some years back,,my boss was riding with me one day and we decided to try a BQ place. The young lady took our order and brought my sandwich which was warm meat but the buns were ice cold, with out thinking I looked up at the lady which was leaving the table and spoke out loud for all to hear before thinking and said: Young lady would please warm my buns!!!!!!!Open mouth insert foot syndrome.
