Most of you know about the drought we had last year, and all the trees that died. Well we spent another day cutting down trees. This one like to have ate the old mans lunch. It was a large red oak. One of the few that didn't die a few years ago in our last drought.

Sure made a nice fire. Only about 3 dozen to go.
Luckily for me, they aren't all that big. Some are close though.

Oh we have one.... Converted it to gas, but with as much wood as their is in this part of the country you can't give it away. City folks are to lazy to come and get it for free, but they'll pay $250 a cord for you to take it to them.
If my old tail wasn't so worn out I could make a killing.
At my age I'm not splitting word for anyone that's got more money than sense.
