Headlight painting

Some of you have removed the clear plastic cover from your headlights and painted the chrome inside the color of your truck.

can this be done on my 2007?

If so, please give me some pointers on how to do this.

You don't even want to go there Nathan. "If" you can find someone to do it and the price isn't out of this world maybe. That is a tough project. Trust me!!!!

I haven't done it, but I've read some write ups on "the other forum" from guys who have done it themselves. Rancher is right, it seems pretty involved. And I've heard it's pretty easy to scratch them when you're putting them back together, too. If I ever end up with an extra set of OEM lights, I might try it myself. I'd be a little nervous without a backup set, though.

Newfiebullet has done it. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction. Or go to Retroshop.us Jeremy will get you fixed up

its not hard just require much patience and time...my recommendation is to take your time and be very careful and gentle...the clear lense is a nuisance to remove but not super difficult....once the cover is off its easy....if your are willing to go that far you might as well throw in some projectors.

Since you put projectors in, what made you decide not to paint the bowls as well?

If you want just a black painted headlight they don't cost much for a generic pair. Was gonna try to mess with the stock pair but it cost $75 for the headlights an they had bulbs couldn't beat that
