Reads where my odometer is after the truck is running. Plugged in my Superchips 3815 to read and clear the codes. Also had an 0457 evap leak. Ordered a new gas cap from Duane at 3rd Strike. Kudos to Duane. Great service! Now I thought my Superchips would clear the odometer "Gascap" problem along with the Check engine light, Am I wrong?

Fixing a gas cap code isn't always easy. The most common fix is to change the gas cap, but that doesn't always work as the sensor is actually monitoring the EVAP system. There was a post showing how to fail safe the EVAP monitor, but I can't find it now. I would recommend studying the EVAP system and check the hoses for splits. Good luck..

You should be able to clear the code.
Keeping it away, well......

Thank You all for your input. I cleared the check engine light with my Superchips 3815 but I still get the "Gascap" reading on the odometer
guess I have a little work to do.

Evap Line from purge canister got too close to my catalytic converter shield. Fixed!
