Had an O2 sensor go bad. I replaced it and after driving some miles and rechecking with my code reader, all the other system icons have stopped flashing except the EVA one. It continues to flash but, I'm not getting any codes and the yellow light on the code reader is on.
I need to get the truck through emissions testing soon!
Any ideas?

Garage
If you're getting a "slight leak" code fro the Evap system the 1st vthing to check or replace would be the gas cap.

I'm not getting any codes.
Just the EVA icon continues to flash, like they do when the codes have been reset and it needs to be driven enough to cycle through.
All the other icons have stopped flashing, except the EVA icon.

evap is the last one to reset on any car/truck and it takes the longest.depends on your driving.there is a drive cycle to go through for every car/truck you can google it and see what it is.i dont remember what it is off hand.JUST DONT CLEAR CODES OR RESET YOU WILL START OVER.
leave your code reader plugged in and drive it till it goes out.
also make shure your gas cap is tight

Check engine light off, codes cleared; cold start.

-warm up engine 5 minutes (or until closed loop is reached--5 min is usually plenty)

-drive (w/ steady throttle) at a steady speed between 40 and 60 mph for 8 min

-stop and idle 3 min

-drive (w/ steady throttle) at a speed above 20 mph for 2 min

-turn key off, leave off 10 min
also make shure you have half tank of gas
