door lock actuator

Hi, I have a 2004 ram 1500 quad and I need to replace the driver's door lock actuator. I know how but can't remove the rods, is there a simple way? I suffer with arthritis in my hands. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, John

The rods are held in by pastice clips that rotate over the rod to hold it in place

Use a light and see which way the plastic clip needs to be slid off the rod and then pull the rod out of the clip

Wish I could retire not in the cards yet. My hands swell so bad I can't even hold a pen.
