They're all going to be 4-doors?? That does suck. GM made the same mistake, rebadging the Aussie Holden Commodore as a GTO, but at least it's still a 2-door.

It looks like a 4-door Mustang. WTF? Is that the best DC's designers could do? It's not ugly, but it isn't exciting to look at either. And why is the 300C used for the SRT-8 concept, instead of the Charger? It seems like the Charger would be the logical choice to debut the 6.1L HEMI in. DC has chosen poorly.

Yup.. The 2006 Charger is a 4 door. No doubt about it. I agree...It is a shame that DC didn't use the Charger to introduce the 6.1. Perhaps there is an R/T in the future works (I hope so.).

I've attached a link from Allpar that shows the new versionAllpar - 2006 Charger

I too wish DC relied on the 1968 Charger styling a bit more heavily like Ford did with the Mustang. If the had to use the LHS/300 platform and had no choice but to use 4 doors, too bad they didn't conceal them a bit similar to cars like the Saturn or RX-8. For that matter similar to the Ram Club Cab from the previous generation.

It seemed that during the Charger’s heydays of the 1960’s, there was really no other Chrysler product like it with it’s roofline, and hidden headlights etc. In my opinion, its second cousin, the Plymouth GTX perhaps came close but it was no Charger. Now it seems the Charger will the follow in the footsteps of its Big Brother the 300.

I guess I can understand that time marches on, except for those four doors.
